It is law within the UK that every item of precious metal sold such as Platinum, Gold, Silver is stamped labelling the item with the type of metal it is. Platinum pieces which weigh less than 0.5 grams, 18ct Gold and Palladium pieces weighing less than 1.0 gram and Silver pieces weighing less than 7.78 grams are except from hallmark.
At Diamonds Factory all our products are hallmarked as per UK hallmarking law from London Assay Office (The GoldSmith Company)
The Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office is the oldest assay office in the United Kingdom. It has provided hallmarking services since The Goldsmiths' Company was founded in the 1300s. The company received its royal charter in 1327 and ranks 5th in order of precedence of the 12 Great Livery Companies of the City of London.
Hallmarking dates back to the 1300s when Edward I of England passed a law requiring any item made of silver, which was offered for sale, to be at least of equal quality as that of the coin of the realm (silver currency). The wardens of The Goldsmiths' Company were tasked with visiting workshops in the City of London to assay (test) silver articles. If these articles were found to be below standard they were originally destroyed and the metal forfeited to the King. If they passed, each article received the King's mark of authentication - the mark of a leopard's head. By 1478, there were several hundred workshops and merchants manufacturing silver articles in the City of London. It was not possible for the wardens to visit them all so the merchants were ordered to bring their items to Goldsmiths' Hall for testing and marking and a permanent Assay Office was established in the building. This is the origin of the term hallmark - struck with the King's mark at Goldsmiths' Hall.
In 1544 the Goldsmith's Company adopted the King's mark as their town mark and the mark of the leopard's head is now internationally recognised as the mark of this assay office.
The Goldsmiths's Company Assay Office is still based at Goldsmiths's Hall and remains the oldest company in Britain to be continually trading from the same site. However, it also has two satellite offices; at Greville Street in Hatton Garden in the heart of the London jewellery quarter and within a high security complex near London's Heathrow airport. It now has a new off-site facility within the Dalston-based jewellery manufacturer, Allied Gold. This is the first time in the Assay Office's 700 year history that it has opened permanent hallmarking services on a customer's premises.
In addition to hallmarking, the office has now expanded its range of services to support the jewellery trade and enforcement authorities. It offers a variety of specialist analytical services including nickel, lead & cadmium testing, antique silver dating, non-destructive compositional analysis, plating thickness measurement and a melt and assay service for scrap precious metal carried out in their fully independent on-site laboratory. Other services offered are a jewellery valuation service, laser marking, trading standards assistance, high quality photography and a comprehensive range of training and educational seminars, lectures and specialist events.
Finding a Father’s Day gift that suits his style can be harder than it sounds. The best gifts are the ones that fit into what he wears. That is exactly why tennis bracelets for men make such an interesting choice. They have presence to stand out, but still sit easily into day-to-day dressing.
It helps to look at how he dresses, whether he already wears a watch or chain, and how much jewellery he is comfortable wearing. Once you begin there, it becomes much easier to decide whether a tennis bracelet will become a part of his routine.

Start With How He Already Dresses
The strongest place to begin is with his existing style. If his wardrobe leans towards tailored shirts, clean polos, monochrome basics, or smart casual layers, a men’s diamond tennis bracelet can slot in naturally, adding definition at the wrist without disrupting the look.
If his style is rugged, denim-led, or watch-focused, the bracelet needs a strong metal profile so it does not get visually lost. This first step helps you decide whether the gift should be understated, architectural, or visibly detailed.
Think About What Already Sits On His Wrist
If he wears a steel watch, cooler metals such as a silver tennis bracelet or platinum-toned white gold bracelet will integrate naturally. If his watch case, wedding band, or cufflinks are warm, a men’s gold tennis bracelet design will create a much cleaner match.
The metal choice significantly changes the bracelet's personality. White metals create a clean and modern line, making a white gold diamond bracelet for men, especially useful when the goal is versatility.
The metal should follow the tones he already wears through watches, rings, or chains, so the bracelets are not visually separate.
Decide How Visible You Want The Gift To Be
Another useful filter is deciding what role the diamond bracelet should play. If this is meant to be his signature Father’s Day piece, a broad tennis design with strong links and visible diamonds makes sense.
If the goal is something he can wear alongside his watch or even to work, a slim line and a controlled stone size will sit naturally. This is where tennis bracelets for men become surprisingly versatile.
The same design family can move from everyday dressing into occasion wear just through the width and metal choice.
Add Meaning Through Personal Details
Father’s Day gifting becomes much more thoughtful when the piece connects to something personal. A clasp engraving, initials, a meaningful date, or a subtle message on the inside turns the bracelet into personalised Father’s Day jewellery.
This is especially useful if the bracelet is meant to mark a first Father’s Day, a milestone birthday, or a family achievement. A personalised bracelet for dad works best when the detail is subtle and integrated into the design rather than the sole focus.
Match The Bracelet To His Routine
The real test of a good Father’s Day gift is whether it works on his actual day. If he spends most of his time in officewear, dinners, and social events, a structured tennis bracelet will sit naturally.
If his routine is active, a lower-profile setting and stronger clasp will be relevant. This is what turns Father’s Day gift jewellery into something he genuinely reaches for instead of something saved for rare occasions.
Why This Gift Works So Well For Father’s Day
A tennis bracelet makes a great Father’s Day gift because it sits in that rare space between jewellery and personal style. It is visible enough to feel special, practical enough to integrate into what he already wears, and personal enough to become part of his routine.
At Diamonds Factory, we approach personalised Father’s Day gifts in exactly this way. The focus stays on helping you choose a piece that works naturally with how he dresses, what he already wears, and the role you want the gift to play long after Father’s Day itself.
